Kim Rhode Accomplishments
By capturing a gold medal at yet another Olympiad, Athens in
2004, California’s “Golden Girl” Kim Rhode has become the
most decorated female Olympian in the history of USA Shooting.
In 1996 she won the gold medal at the Centennial Olympic
Games in Atlanta and in 2000 she won the bronze medal at the
Sydney Olympic Games. In addition, Kim has won six gold
medals in World Cup competitions in her International
Doubles Trap event. Kim also captured the gold medal in
her event at both the 1999 and 2003 Pan American Games.
At the young age of 27, Kim Rhode has won just about every
award and honor that you can earn in the sport of shooting
and in the outdoors industries. She is a four time winner of
USA Shooting’s “FEMALE SHOOTER OF THE YEAR”. In
addition, Kim has received the United States Olympic Committee’s
“SHOOTER OF THE YEAR” award and CHEVY TRUCKS’
“SHOOTER OF THE YEAR” awards. She also received the
“DISTINGUISHED SHOOTER MEDAL” from the U.S. Army in
1995 and the coveted shooting industry’s “ACADEMY OF
EXCELLENCE” award in 1997. In 2002, Kim was named one of
20 initial Olympian honorees for the “Olympian Heroes” series. |
